To whoever is reading this, I hope you're having a nice day n.n

So what can you expect in the near future from this gallery?

-I'm editing a small series of comic strips to upload, that I made for my boyfriend, for our  3rd year anniversary, but anyone can read them really, specially if they're into Dungeons & Dragons and such.

-Sketches. Lots of sketches. I'm sketching the creatures in my boyfriend's original roleplaying setting Sardonya, and I'm sketching lots of characters for an anime convention, so my drawings will be decorating one of the walls <3 The characters are all roleplaying characters people in my city (including myself) have used in our roleplays.

My 50+ pages manga is still on process (I'm so slow omg) but after I'm done with all these sketches I'll try to chime in with some full illustrations, so this gallery has some colour again.

Take care!

Though it's been a close call (? Lots of things have been going on. First, the free time I have for drawing has gone towards my 50+pages comic, and I don't have a lot of time. Why? Many reasons:

*Spine, shoulders and neck problems got worse than ever before. I had to seek medical treatment, which includes exercising every day, something I'm not used to doing, and it's a new activity that takes up my time.

*My mental health went down the drain too, and I think the chronic pain has a lot to do with it. My depression got worse. I did some very bad things. I had to see a psychiatrist in an emergency session in the hospital, I'm seeking psychological and spiritual help, I'm considering obeying my psychiatrist and starting to take antidepressants, etc.

*My country is going down the drain. Here there are public and private universities. I don't have the money for attending a private one and I don't want to attend one anyway. The career I want to study, in my city, is only available in a public institution, and I can't afford to move and pay for university. But now public universities are in crisis. Mine might shut down in a few months. If that happens, I don't know what I'll do. But it's contributing to making me worry and the worry makes me physically ill.

I'll draw and upload things when I can. Life sucks at the moment. Hugs will be appreciated.

So I'm working on a new comic, fitting the genres of supernatural, comedy I guess, and shonen-ai, to give back to the community of fans of boy love who have amused me for so much throughout the years. I guess it's not for everyone, due to the shonen-ai factor, but I hope the specific people I targeted this for will like it :) I got so busy with the storyboard and over the holidays that I've barely worked on other illustrations xD

Finally I'm on vacation. I'm already working on a new digital painting, still going with the theme of painting the characters I use for roleplaying, and I'm working on a new comic! I have the story written down, I still have to do the script and storyboard. I'm on doubt about publishing it page by page on a schedule since I'm awful at keeping up with schedules when it comes to drawing. Uploading several pages at a time sounds good too, or I could do the same as the last time and upload it all when it's finished. I don't know what to do x3 Specially since this comic will be longer, so it'll be forever until I upload it if I do it when it's finished.

Ah, I'm so excited!!!

So... My cat poured my coffee on my laptop. I spend a lot of money -a lot considering my budget- and the repair process, for various reasons, lasted a week. In that very same week, I've had shit thrown at me at college -not literally-, argued with my father, had the worst luck I can remember ever having, and on top of that, someone had asked for a little commission and I didn't have my computer. Now the laptop doesn't work entirely. The keyboard is ruined, and I'm trying to get my tablet to work again because I don't know what problem popped up now with the drivers.

Ugh...

Happy birthday DeviantART! Everytime this event comes around I'm like "What? Another year already?". This is the site where I've been posting my art since about seven years ago, and I wouldn't like to take it anywhere else. This is one of my favourite places in the internet, and I love how, if I browse my gallery, I can see my growth as an artist.

DEVIANTARTIST QUESTIONNAIRE
  1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
Seven years, according to my profile page. Wow, those went by fast.

  2. What does your username mean?
"Isho" is a nickname given to me by my little brother, back when he couldn't talk good enough to pronounce my actual name "Rocio". I like uneven numbers, and "13" is my favourite number.

  3. Describe yourself in three words.
    Loving, creative, emotional.

  4. Are you left or right handed?
Righthanded. I wish I was ambidextrous, so when one hand gets tired, I could go on with the other one. I have chronic pain in my neck and shoulders, so if I use my right hand too much, my shoulder hurts ToT

  5. What was your first deviation?
It's not the oldest one you can see in here. I've kept many of my oldest deviations, but I erased the very first one. I think it was a pencil drawing I scanned and traced and coloured in Photoshop. What I'm sure of, is it was done by mouse. >_>

  6. What is your favourite type of art to create?
Digital art! Specially fantasy themes, with strong contrasts in my values if I can manage it, and I also love drawing stuff for my roleplays.

  7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
I'd love to know how to make complex clothes. My wardrobe would be awesome! Also mastering the art of doing mangas/comics would be amazing.

  8. What was your first favourite?
Apparently it was this cute photo of a snake:
Zot in a Knot by HeatherTelesca
    Thas was unexpected o_O

  9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
    Digital art!

  10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
Don't make me chose between ArtofTy and Endling </3 I'd like to be able to paint at the level of skill Tyler James has one day -I doubt it because as an engineering student I'm not drawing full time, nor will do it in the future :( - and Endling's style, I think I never tried to emulate it, but his drawings still warm up my heart every time I see it, and I find his gallery to be terribly inspiring.

  11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
Endling and yuumei sound like terrific people to drink coffee with.

  12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
I'm not going to name them, because I do remember so of their usernames but I don't want to call them out... Back when I was just starting in DeviantART I had many friends. Over time, as they got into dA's roleplayer scene (?) they got into making recolours and all of that, and even if they eventually stopped recolouring, they started actually drawing but skill and style-wise, they always looked stuck to me. Like they never tried to really strive for improvement nor tried to get out of their comfort zone. That's when I realized I didn't want to go down the same way.

  13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
My computer and my tablet for my digital pieces, my oils for my paintings (I haven't painted in a really long time u.u) and my make up to create art on my face.

  14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
The art creation process takes place mostly in my bedroom, but honestly most of my inspiration and ideas come to me while I'm showering xD

  15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
When I wrote a note to an artist I really admire and he replied on the next day! That was so unexpected, I thought he'd read it but not bother with a reply xD Also, every time someone leaves a comment saying they really like my art, specially the comments I got on my improvement meme, those comments are very special to me <3

Okay, I'm on winter break now. That means I get a month with more free time than usual. I know that usually means more drawings usually, but not this time. WAIT THESE ARE GOOD NEWS I SWEAR!

Every year, in the place where I live, there is a cultural competition which involves several disciplines, like singing, dancing, playing music, drawing, etc. Now there's a competition for comics, or "visual novels" (the meaning in spanish was never clear for me). And I'm making a comic for it.

That means that, either I win or not even make it near winning...

I'm going to post a 20 PAGES ONE SHOT COMIC after the winners are announced (I'm not allowed to publish it sooner, not even uploading it to the internet.)

It's something really important for me. I've always wanted to do a comic, but I've always lacked the willpower to complete one, and they're too ambitious to make them short. So being able to complete a one shot, mistakes and quality aside (everyone makes mistakes, right?) is a huge step for me, since so far I've only been able to make comic strips, and I don't even make them weekly or anything like that.

Thanks to anyone who reads this, for reading me. *hug*

I'm putting this journal up just in case someone reads this stuff. I'm still active. The problem is, I don't have anything to upload for now, because university is killing me. In fact, I have a drawing that's almost finished, and I haven't had the chance to polish the details and I don't want to upload it until I'm entirely happy with it.

College had never been so hectic before. It's true, I took a bit of a big workload, but that's not entirely the problem. I never found myself before, in a situation where I can't even know what am I supposed to do in the day. Not the week, THE DAY. My teachers are constantly changing classes, due to unexpected strikes that take over the routes to other cities, and my teachers decide to not give class that day because a good portion of the students come from other cities, or they aren't able to arrive to class themselves due to living in another city. They have to live for trips related to their jobs. We have unexpected vacation days we never heard of (I think Argentina is the country with more vacation days in the world, and it sucks). Sometimes I go to uni thinking I'll have theory class, and turns out there was a last moment change in schedule and I have to go to a laboratory at the other side of the city.

Also, I started taking kenpo classes for the sake of my health.

I'm considering taking up a workload that's more easy on me the next semester. Hopefully I'll be more active then.

To anyone who takes a second to look at my artwork: I love you. *hug*

Happy New Year! In my family we always make some kind of balance at the end of the year, thinking about the things that came out really well for us, and the ones that didn't come out so well. I thought that, this year, I could fill the Improvement Meme as part of my balancing process, and was happy to see I've been improving.

Isho13's Improvement Meme by Isho13

And since it's been some time since my last feature, I thought that would be a nice theme for a new one. So here are the improvement memes, draw this again memes, and art summaries for the year that were presented to me in the thumbnails forum. If anyone else posts in that thread, this time I'll put it in this journal too. Enjoy!

Also if you could check out my other features and give these deviants some love, that would be great

My first feature :)I hardly ever update my journal, and I noticed the last journals were mostly me complaining about my computer or my classes. That's so depressing. :( So I asked myself, how could I have a more friendly journal? Then it came to me: I should do a feature, and fill my page with the wonderful works of other deviants here! :la:
I'm not famous and I don't think this will be of much help, but if you're reading this, PLEASE CHECK OUT THESE WORKS, the deviants and I will be forever grateful. <3

Kinda Religious FEATUREI consider myself a spiritual person. I'm not a believer of any religion I know, but I have my own beliefs when it comes to faith, divine powers and all that. That's not something I'm going to describe in depth today though.
I was raised by christian parents and they wanted me to be christian. Because of that, my mother told me I should pray every night. Since I was little I was quite the sad child and my self esteem wasn't as good as it could have been. For example, I was a bit overweight and wanted to be thinner. That resulted in me praying to God every night telling him 'please make me thinner'.
I don't remember when or why, my father told me one shouldn't pray to God for every nuisance in our lives. He also told me we shouldn't ask for mundane or material things. The kind of things we could ask from God were the energy to carry on with our lives pursuing our dreams, the capability to always see the light in our darkest hours, etc... That meant I couldn't ask for a thinner bod
MEN feature of manliness n.nTo whoever is reading this: Hi there, I hope you're having a nice day.

So far the goods are odd, but I've been told the subjects I'm studying this semester are very hard, so I'm afraid I'll be struggling soon to get good grades. I think I've fainted.  On top of that, I haven't been drawing too much these days. I have many hobbies and there aren't enough hours in a days. Currently I'm obsessed with a flashgame in Kongregate ((I have to win that hard badge!)) and I'm trying to finish reading A Dance With Dragons (G.R.R.Martin, Tyr this book is boring...), so I'll paint something for five minutes and then play videogames or read again, haha. Sweating a little...  Well, let's get this started. Please, if you're reading this, check out these guys' amazing artworks, it will be very appreciated. Heart    Original art FEATURE! =DYay, my second time doing a feature! I'm starting to love these. Now, this week I proposed a specific theme. This one is all about original art; that means no fanart allowed. I've been in the mood for roleplaying a lot lately. Between tabletops rpgs with my friends at my place, and roleping over PMs here and in a forum, my cravings are being satified. <3

I wanted my dA profile to reflect my mood, so I decided to do an art feature, featuring OCs. Also, a few days ago I finished my first complete drawing of one of my own OCs:

The kind of things we could ask from God were the energy to carry on with our lives pursuing our dreams, the capability to always see the light in our darkest hours, etc... That meant I couldn't ask for a thinner body anymore.

I started praying the way my father told me, when my mother came to me with another piece of information. One should pray to God the same way you would talk to a father. But I couldn't imagine myself asking my father to 'always help me see the light in my darkest hours' or anything like that.

I was confused. Communicating with God was hard. As if that wasn't enough, God never seemed to listen, or at least he didn't answer. 'Why did you let terrible things happen to me? I didn't do anything wrong, did I?' I asked, only to recieve silence in return. I started praying less and less. Eventually I stopped praying altogether. By the time I was 7 years old, I wasn't christian anymore.

I turned 20 some days ago (June 27th, specifically), and received a brand new laptop as my birthday gift. Its keyboard is comfortable and nice looking, and since then I've been wanting an excuse to type a long text and feel like an important executive from an important company. I know it sounds silly but if I did gamble, I'd bet most people feel the same way when they have a new keyboard or computer. :XD:

I wanted to type something long, but a laboratory report is out of the question since I'm finishing my classes and I have no more reports to write. So I'm writing an update on myself and a rant instead.

So... How are things going for me? College sucks, but it's finally giving me a break. I'm passing all my tests so far, only a couple more left. @_@ Winter holidays are coming, and I'll have more time for drawing, but that won't mean I'll be uploading deviations everyday. That's because I'm dedicating my drawing time for drawing (more like digital painting, but I draw the initial sketches!) backgrounds for a visual novel project. I'm not doing it alone, of course. I joined this group called SweetHeartstrings, and I'm only in charge of the background. I'm very excited about this. *-*

((Also my boyfriend is sweet and handsome and has good taste for books. Counting today, we've been together for 8 months  ))

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

Following this is a rant about the World Cup. I'm not a football fan and I hate the World Cup with passion. I need some venting. If you're a sensitive reader and don't like hearing people saying they don't like the World Cup, don't read this.

I dislike football in general, but the World Cup in specific awakens a fury within me I didn't know I could have in my heart. Just kidding, I'm the explosive kind of person and angering me is pretty easy. :XD: I'm fortunate enough to not be the only one in my close circle of "people I frequent everyday in college" who hates football, but their reasons, even if they're not bad, make me think they're just bitching because that's what every person who doesn't like football is doing. Reasons like "they killed people so they could host the World Cup!", "They invested money in a useless football competition instead of important things like education and healthcare!", etc. Those things happen on an everyday basis, not just for this sport event. Roll Eyes  These are the reasons why I hate the World Cup:

Boing! Boing! I don't like football, so I don't keep track of any football team nor important matches. But when it comes to the World Cup, football fans are so annoying, they write what's happening in the match every couple of minutes on their facebook walls and it comes up in my facebook index, news feeder, frontpage, whatever it's called in English. Everytime Argentina's team marks a goal, I know about it because I can hear all my neighbours screaming at the top of their lungs. I.DON'T.WANT.TO.KNOW.ABOUT.IT. It's like I'm following the World Cup even when I hate football, and I hate that.

Boing! Boing! Football fans, at least here, are very destructive. Everytime Argentina wins a match, football fans (that means almost the entire city) gather in the city centre, just a hundred meters away from my house. They break down the centre's shops' windows and steal what they can get. They do it while there are people, clients, shopping there, and a few have been injured. When the police came to put some order, they were vastly outnumbered and... I don't know if they didn't have the equipment for it or if they didn't do it because they could get in trouble, but they didn't start a repression, just tried to arrest people and settle down things peacefully. The football fans attacked the police, and many police officers ended up injured. On top of all that, we've had a couple of incidents with molotov cocktails. Since I live so near to the city centre, every time Argentina wins, I'm all paranoid locked up in my house, afraid of the possibility of people coming to vandalize my house or trying to break in and steal from us.

Boing! Boing! I hate that my father, who usually doesn't watch football, and my younger brother, who dislikes football, are sitting down to watch every match Argentina plays in. Specially my brother, who watches these matches because he wants to fit in the next day when all his schoolmates are talking about it. Now there are days when I can't study in peace in my own home because I can't concentrate with all the MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI noise in the background. Why are football commentators so fucking LOUD???? Stare

Boing! Boing! I hate that my teachers are changing at will the times we will have classes so they (and the other students) don't miss the matches. Because of this, my before perfectly arranged agenda is now a mess. Since I have other things to do (health related, so I can't stall them and because of my orthodoncist's tight agenda I can't change appointments), and because of these ridiculous changes, I've missed the final and most important theory classes of Physics II; all the weeks since the World Cup started. I hate that a football overrated tournament can jeopardize my routine and my education this way.

Boing! Boing! I hate that on my way to uni, people try to high five me/congratulate me/hug me because Argentina won a match.

Boing! Boing! I hate the fact I can't scream at the top of my lungs that I hate the World Cup and want Argentina to lose and can't wait until all of this is over, because I risk getting a beating by one of these crazy neanderthal-like football fans.

Since I live so near to the city centre, every time Argentina wins, I'm all paranoid locked up in my house, afraid of the possibility of people coming to vandalize my house or try to break in and steal from us.

Boing!

Many deviants from this social site give away points -dA's virtual money-. Ah, but I'm not one of them, because I don't have points. The person who started this giveaway is plexusdynasty :iconplexusdynasty:

Here's the link to her journal:

plexusdynasty.deviantart.com/j…

In order to be able to participate, you have to be one of her devwatchers. Which isn't a bad idea, mind you. She'll have an interesting gallery for any lover of the fantasy themed arts. Specially dragons and wolves. I know you love dragons and wolves, deviantart.

P.D.: winter came, my university's heating system doesn't work, and I'm in paaaaaain and suffering from illness. I took the day off. I hope I can get some drawing done today. :)

There are many personal 'art projects' I want to complete. I have a digital drawing to be completed, two pen sketches I'd like to colour on my PC, I have comics strips ideas, and I want to start a new oil painting. Haven't managed to invest time in any of these things. I'm in that time of the semester when university starts killing you with exams. So far I passed three (yay!) and failed one (nay...). I hope when this is over, I can start drawing again, as I won't have to use all my free time for studying.

And to make it worse... *grabs a sword* Winter is coming... And my university's heating system doesn't work. Ït's frigging cold both inside and outside of the building. Sometimes the building is a nice thing to have because it protects us from the rain and wind, but when the day is nice, it would be better to have classes outside, since the sun makes it warmer than inside of the building. That's insane. I'm sick of this.

On another news, I watched Watamote (a 2013 anime that got quite the popularity) last week. It was fun, but the girl reminded me a little of myself back in highschool, and that's depressing. U>_>

Some time ago, I posted a thread in the thumbnails forum, looking for people who wanted to share fantasy animals from their galleries. Each deviant could post up to 3 pieces, and I chose one from each:

Pegasus by Fuee    Keparroc Color by Protoeyesore    The Hydra by RedCoaster   Wtfllama by Epic-Elite    Greenie Hernie study by LewisMichael

And since the amount of animals posted was so little, I went deviation-hunting through my watcher's galleries (people who watched me on 2014 and 2013).

Also, please give some love to the people in my earlier features:

My first feature :)I hardly ever update my journal, and I noticed the last journals were mostly me complaining about my computer or my classes. That's so depressing. :( So I asked myself, how could I have a more friendly journal? Then it came to me: I should do a feature, and fill my page with the wonderful works of other deviants here! :la:
I'm not famous and I don't think this will be of much help, but if you're reading this, PLEASE CHECK OUT THESE WORKS, the deviants and I will be forever grateful. <3

This one is all about original art; that means no fanart allowed. If you're seeing this, please check out these deviants' works. Maybe go fav-bombing and everything? It'll be very appreciated.

Heart
